Most of the time, when booking accomodations in Italy, the bed size shows as "Double". So clients start to worry "What if is too tight and we can't sleep?" Don't worry, there is not size Double like the one we have here in North America.
Most of the time when they say Double it is a Queen size.

Since the single bed is exactly half width, Sometimes hotels put two single beds next to each other then call it double bed. It is actually a bit larger than a Queen size.
So do not worry, because sometimes ... less is more!
